Well done for getting over 100 posts!...Hey Carmen!

Well done for getting over 100 posts! I actually started a blog myself a few months ago, but I sort of gave up.... But when I see what you do, it makes me want to do write again!
Which brings me to my second subject. If, deep inside you, you feel that you really aren't made for guitar, then stop. Don't continue to do it, just to try making the people around you feel good. It may sound like a noble sacrifice, but it isn't.
However, if you actually like playing a bit, but you're discouraged because you don't have the time, or nobody shows any appreciation when you play, soldier on! Continue! I myself play guitar since 4 (or 5?) years, and whenever I feel a bit low, I strum the cords and already feel slightly better. And don't forget to check on YouTube and Internet to learn how to play the theme of a song you like. Like, I learned how to accompany a friend on a song of Adele, and I absolutely loved it.
Also, don't forget to play, just a bit, every day, especially on technique. It's the single most anoying thing ever, but really useful. Flexible fingers are crucial in guitar, so stop cracking those knuckles! It's bad for you (I don't know if you do).
Sorry for all the spelling mistakes in this comment, but I'm in a bit of a rush.

Follow your passion! And keep posting!

Carolina~Carolina Leroynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7393818910957907547.post-46731844257366618752014-03-01T01:11:12.927-08:002014-03-01T01:11:12.927-08:00My love,

I don't feel as passionate about it like your brother does. That is d...First off, congratulations on 100 posts! That is definitely a milestone :) Second, I'm really sad to hear that you might be giving up guitar! I'm actually going through something similar with flute. I rarely practice outside of my lessons and I feel like everyone's disappointed on the nonexistent progress I've made. What I actually did was I'm going to take a break next year and stop lessons and band to take a breather. If I find that I'm missing it, then I'm going to return to it the following year, but if I feel happy with cutting that out of my life, then it was the best decision I could have made. It really depends on how much time you have and how you feel about it! People's likes and dislikes change all the time, so maybe this could be a lull in your passion and a year off could really help because without the pressure of having a sheduled time to practice, it's really helpful! Also, don't worry about your teacher and dad! If YOU want to take time off, take some time off. It'll still be there for you when you have the time again :) Hope this helped and good luck! :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
