Its a very good answer, indeed. But i bet people will still deny it as the case!
Well then I will pull out some of my ass-kicking arguments- I'm always up for a debate!
The same can be said for people who pay taxes, when most money collected goes to support wars. Sad state! I know because I pay taxes and it bothers me a great deal. If only that money went to build schools and roads, and insure clean water for the thirsty on our planet.Susan Joyce
That's a really good reflection, Susan. I agree to a hundred per cent.
that is true!i can't stop eating meat but i think im gonna eat less!
Less is more, as they say :)
A really interesting take on it, and a great poem. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for thanking! Haha :)
This is exactly how I feel about the issue!! I refuse to eat meat because I hate how the poor animals are treated!http://www.mybrokeneggshells.com
I wish everybody felt the way we do...!
Whoever made this is brilliant.Just printed this as some inspiration to stay vegetarian when I feel like stopping. I've resisted eating animals for five months!
I think this pretty much is how life goes. I don't think you can do anything about it. I mean, a lot of animals eat animals, and if they didn't, they would die. The rule is just the same for humans. This may be a good little speech, but I'm not sure it will ever work as a comeback in an argument. It won't make people change.Keep doing what you're doing.
Oh yeah? So who eats humans?Of course if we didn't eat animals they would die eventually. But they'd live a long, happy life first, like all living beings deserve.I mean, think of this: lambs can live for 14 years, but they're murdered at 6 months.I have a comeback to EACH and EVERY point that an omnivore indoctrinated by the meat-eating society might try to prove to me. I will ALWAYS win the argument. At some, point, meat-eaters will just have to realize that they are WRONG. People can change. If they aren't selfish, they will be willing to sacrifice the taste of meat they might enjoy for billions of lives to be saved each year- INCLUDING humans's who might die from a high cholesterol level, or from a heart attack.
You know, there's some balance we have to respect. We only (or mostly) eat animals that are not in any kind of danger of becoming extinct. If we stopped eating them, there would be too much, and they would mess the ecosystem up.Plus, meat is what lead us to what we are now: homo sapiens. It gives strength, energy and happiness.I don't think it's a good idea to make everyone a vegetarian.
Well, humans aren't in danger of becoming extinct, and do we eat humans?'If we stopped eating them, there would be too much, and they would mess the ecosystem up.'The only reason that there are so many of those animals you talk about is because WE HUMANS mass produce them to make more juicy ham and burgers. There wouldn't be so many if it weren't for our taste buds. We force them to reproduce. Like Moby said, could you look an animal in the eye and say to it, "My appetite is more important than your suffering" ?Think about that. Because not a single taste in the world is worth taking someones life for."Plus, meat is what lead us to what we are now: homo sapiens. It gives strength, energy and happiness", is what you say.Well, that is a myth. You see, cavemen lived mainly on meat, true. But their brains were not developed. Then, evolution happened. All along that they kept eating meat. They never stopped to consider that it might not be right, because generations before them had been consuming it. They thought it was completely normal. And, they didn't have science yet. Studies couldn't be done to see what's good for you and what's not. But now, at this stage in evolution, we are a much, much smarter species and we've done those studies. It's been proven countless times that meat consumption IS NOT necessary, that it is even BAD for you! Do we have claws on the tip of our fingers, made to rip up another animal's body? No.Do we have sharp teeth, made to bite the flesh of another being to the bones? No.Our intestines aren't made for meat digestion. Our body is not made to eat meat!We have ALL the facts that we shouldn't be eating meat anymore. But why do we keep doing it? Because the human race is a selfish, inconsiderate, stubborn race!We are so few to care about the voiceless! You say meat gives you strength and happiness? I've been vegetarian since I'm five years old, and I am completely healthy. In fact, I am in better shape then many teens I know.
